K-Pop royalty CL has finally returned and is already making headlines in the industry with her new album.
This comes after CL’s amazing appearance of “+HWA+” on the “Late Night Show with James Corden.” The music video for “+5 STAR+” featuring the Korean-Australian producer/singer Christian Yu, also known as DPR Ian, was also released. CL was also featured in Ian’s debut single, “So Beautiful,” released on October 26. The music video of the former 2NE1 is certainly highly regarded. But Christian’s entering the same music video is another excuse to check on loving it.
The synergy between the two is excellent and shows by “+5 STAR+.” Influenced by the film “Blue Valentine” and Rihanna’s “We Found Love” ft. Calvin Harris, the video shows the couple in a number of intimate situations, from sunset canoe drives to barefoot dance in the kitchen.
“I can’t stop thinking of you,” CL sings as the fireworks burst-a reflection of the passion that arose between the two. CL’s vocals are extremely smooth, and her excellent performance made the music video sound like a movie. Netizens can’t resist splashing over the pair, going as far as deeming them the perfect “couple goals.” There’s something so pure and unaltered about how CL’s voice combines with the romantic scenes presented in the music video that it’s very hard not to fall in love with her.
