About "My Fellow Citizens" Korean Drama Movie

My Fellow Citizens is a 32 episode South Korean drama released in April 1, 2019 by KBS2 starring Choi Si-Won, Lee Yoo-Young, Kim Min-Jung, Tae In-Ho, and Kim Eui-Sung.

Synopsis of My Fellow Citizens

Yang Jung-guk (Choi Si-won) is an experienced con man and has never been arrested. His girlfriend runs off with the conned money he was going to marry her with. He gets depressed and goes to a bar to drink and meets Kim Mi-young (Lee Yoo-young) who is at the bar to see her cheating boyfriend.

In Episode 1, Both Yang Jung-Guk and Kim Mi-Young meet for the first time when Mi-Young knocks out her cheating boyfriend and throws one of her shoes across the room. It hits Yang Jung-Guk.

In episode 2, Mi-Young gets kicked out by the club establishment. They meet at the club again, and Jung-Guk approaches her with her shoe. He asks her to have a drink with him.
They both lie about their occupation. The con man Jung-Guk tells Kim Mi-Young that he is a businessman and Kim Mi-Young says she works for a small company but does not mention to him that she is a detective. They find something in common and a romantic relationship begins.

The third main character is Park Hoo-Jaa (Kim Min-Jung) who inherited a private loan business she inherited from her father. Unfortunately, her father had been swindled out of millions by Yang Jung-Kook. She discovers the con and starts to blackmail Yang Jung-Kook to run for a national assembly seat.

Club Octagon is one of the most popular and famous entertainment nightclubs in Gangnam. Hallyu, Kpop celebrities and stars can be seen performing or just hanging out at Club Octagon. In 2016, DJ Magazine voted it the 5th best club to visit in the world. World-renowned and up and coming DJs perform on the main stage while clubbers can dance, eat and drink food and drinks prepared by professional bartenders, sommeliers, and famous chefs.

The club has a three-story floor with LED screens, sit down lounge, swimming pool, and state of the art sound system. Music is mostly trance, dance, electronic, house, and techno.

It's busy during the weekends and enjoyable during the weekdays. Lots of KPop celebrities, actors, actresses come to Club Octagon. If you want to go when it's packed, then Friday is the best day. If you got the money, then go VIP. That's where celebrities and stars hang out.

Club Octagon [클럽 옥타곤] is a well-known and popular nightclub in Seoul. The club is located in the neighborhood of Nonhyeon [Nonhyeon-dong/여의도동] in the Gangnam District [Gangnam-gu/강남구]) of Seoul. Gangnam was made famous and popular by Psy's "Gangnam Style" music video. The Club is part of the New Hilltop Hotel [뉴힐탑호텔], directly opposite Drei Furniture [드레이].
