KAACHI Makes a Comeback and Hallyu Korea Streams ‘Hallyu Com-On 2020 Swiss’

 

The first K-Pop girl group in the United Kingdom, KAACHI, received the attention of K-Pop fans all over the world with their debut this year. The very first single “Your Turn” released in April, and their music video reached more than 20 million YouTube views.

Six months later, the four-member women’s group came back with a new single named “Photo Magic.” The song’s lyrics tell the tale of the girls as they discuss their journey of coping with multiple obstacles as they unlock new opportunities. “Photo Magic” is described as a track powered by British grim backdrop and haunting hip-hop beats, combined with dance-filled K-Pop melodies and powerful vocals.

In a separate interview, the KAACHI members said Let’s resolve this tough time of the COVID-19 pandemic together. KAACHI will continue to demonstrate their progess as a multinational K-Pop girl group with a range of themes, strong music and performances.

The group’s comeback single “Photo Magic” is available on all streaming sites such as Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music, Bugs, Deezer, Melon, and more. Also, U.K.’s first K-pop girl group will be appearing in “London New Year’s Day Parade 2021,” to perform their latest track. The show will air in 500 million households worldwide, and viewers can watch it on the BBC and ITV.

Apart from this, K-Pop fans can look forward to the online event “Hallyu Com-On 2020 Swiss” that the Hallyu Korea (K-Pop Swiss) Association of Switzerland will stream on YouTube. The event will be hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and KOFICE in Korea.

The association celebrated its very first “K-Pop Culture Day in Switzerland on 25 January last. A total of 700 people and major media, including the Swiss broadcaster RTS, attended the event. Although this has been achieved with the crowd, the upcoming concert will be a face-to-face one planned to encourage Swiss fans to take part in a number of other means than just the K-Pop cover dance competition.

In addition, the Swiss Hallyu Korea Association, which supports the Korean Wave in Switzerland, seeks to connect with Swiss fans about K-Pop and Korean society in the wake of the latest COVID-19 pandemic.

“Hallyu Com-On 2020 Swiss” will feature a variety of influential people, including influencer Chang Ha, Tiktoker, who has over 7.5 million followers; choreographer Luhan, former EXO participant, named Jay Kim; AOORA, former K-Pop idol; and Edward Avila, a YouTuber with 1.6 million subscribers. There will also be a K-Beauty show dubbed “2020 Lighting Show” (DDP) by the Seoul Design Foundation, real-time video calls with dance competition winners, and much more.

Until the web show on Saturday, Nov. 14, 12 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. KST, pre-events such as Korean lessons with W24, a South Korean boy band, will take place. The boy group consists of five members, namely Jonggil, Howon, Aaron, Yunsoo, and Jiwon, who made their debut in March 2018.

The “Hallyu Com-On 2020 Swiss” live streaming experience is set to take place on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. KST can be seen live on Korean Swiss Wave official YouTube channel.
